Les Oiseaux de la Forêt - Cake Dish
This collection is the fruit of a collaboration between Faïencerie de Gien and the illustrator Estelle Rebottaro. Her collection Oiseaux de la Forêt (Birds of the Forest), with its colours filled with serenity and softness, is like an invitation to discover the poetry of bird songs.
Estelle Rebottaro is an artist from Berry. Self-taught, she learned to draw wildlife by accompanying her father, in Sologne, but also in the remote lands of Scotland and Normandy.
She has created a collection full of charm and lightness, playing on harmonies of soothing shades. The coppery autumnal colours plunge us into our memories of walks in the forest. Concentrate and you may hear the leaves or the wind in the trees... A beautiful encounter between the artist and earthenware, which will fit perfectly with the Sologne collection of the same illustrator.
An exceptional manufacture thanks to its unique and bicentenary know-how, Faïencerie de Gien masters all the stages of the manufacturing process, from the heap of earth to the finished product. A Gien plate requires 26 components and passes through the hands of 30 "master earthenware makers".
