Bordallo Pinheiro

Banana Madeira - Pie Dish

For the Banana Madeira collection, Bordallo Pinheiro collaborated with Nini Andrade Silva. A renowned interior designer, the artist pays tribute to the island of Madeira in Portugal, where she is originally from, but especially to the banana trees that cover it.

The earthenware pieces show an expert precision and a unique know-how as they are so realistic.

Dark, wrinkled bark, large green leaves, long stems and yellow bananas are crafted to perfection to create a collection of tropical and summer inspirations in the form of bowls, trays, cups, centerpieces and pitchers.

This collection was awarded last year with an Iconic Awards 2020: Innovative Interior and a German Design Award 2020.
