NORMANDY, FRANCE | STEEL ARTWORK
During her childhood, Gaëlle Pinel grew up watching her father, a craftsman, work on steel. His workshop was located behind their home, and the heavy and large sliding door was an invitation to come and observe his work. Without knowing, Gaëlle was alreading learning the essential skills of handling this material that is today so deep to heart.
After studying Interior Architecture & Design, Gaëlle Pinel spent time in London working with the prestigious designer Tom Dixon. Upon her return to France, Gaëlle launched her own collections of objects and furniture in 2017.
Created in Brittany and produced in the family workship in Normandy, her objects are truly sustainable, timeless and ethical.
Her sustainable approach is based on three pillars. First, the material: Gaëlle Pinel works with steel, a recycled and infinitely recyclable material. Second, her design: the timeless shapes she imagines, some of which were designed ten years ago, fit in with the interiors of today and tomorrow. Finally, the production is 100% French and relies on neighbouring Normandy SMEs. One supplies the steel and cutting, another does the bending and welding and the third takes care of the paint finishing.
Gaëlle Pinel creates authentic objects that accompany your everyday life with softness and elegance.
